Is 21:9 the new video standard? Since Microsoft enabled the format in Teams Rooms in 2022 there has been an increased offering by display manufacturers supporting the format. For many years conferences have dealt with various wide screen formats in order to horizontally expand screen size. But each event with its own proprietary standard. So a new wider alternative to the standard 16:9 image is very welcome when addressing a large audience whether it is at a physical or a virtual event.
